Student Project: Photogrammetry Experiments Experimental Photography

A grayscale texture map consisting of thousands of "pieces" of my face, each having a random jagged shape, but ordered very neatly and effecively. Many parts are barely identifiable as photo of a human, but the bigger pieces reveal the secret.
Year

Experimenting with Photogrammetry software, which was still in the fledgling stages back then and did not work as expected. In the end, producing cool texture files became became my goal rather than nice 3D models.

Another texture map self portrait, similar to the first, but colored. In some of the pieces, the green screen we used as background shows through.

Yet another texture map, portraing Markus this time, this time mainly cheeks, ears and hair are identifiable.
